Knit one, purl one, I’m done.

My sister taught me how to knit recently, and I was excited about it. Briefly. I even went to a meeting of my mom’s club knitting group, but I think that hurt more than it helped. Don’t get me wrong, I’m impressed and inspired by what people are doing with needles and yarn. But maybe a little too awed. I’m having trouble getting past the inevitable bumps in the road.

If only they sold resident experts in the knitting aisle along with everything else. Shockingly, my sister has trouble addressing my issues over the phone. Knitting just caught my eye because there’s so little equipment needed and I have 3 obliviously willing models for socks, hats, scarves, etc. I’d like to get back on the bandwagon. Maybe I need a new beginner’s book; I’ve been using Knitting for Dummies. Maybe Knitting for the Inspired but Inept?

I love Maine. I hate mosquitoes. I prefer the bottom half of a muffin to the top. Baseball yes. Boxing no. Oh, and I have 3 boys in middle school. This is my blog.
