I find the cultural norms regarding the crossing of legs to be hilarious. Why is it, generally speaking, that men are not supposed to cross their legs, but women must? What do you think when you see a man’s legs crossed? Or a woman sitting with knees splayed out to the sides? I have always assumed it represents the accepted rules of sexual engagement. I came across an interview on TV last night with some military brass whose legs were spread so wide I noticed it. But after all, he’s a man’s man.
Deep thoughts, by me. Happy Friday!
