Apples Bustin’ & Blossomin’

Recently we hit a local orchard with Mem and Gramp for some fall fun. We roamed about and picked a bit, then topped it off with cider, doughnuts and apple blossoms (is that what they were called, Mum?)

Here are a messload of photos:

I think C might actually be in love with this pumpkin:

I love Maine. I hate mosquitoes. I prefer the bottom half of a muffin to the top. Baseball yes. Boxing no. Oh, and I have 3 boys in middle school. This is my blog.

Apple crisp, apple cookies, apple pie, apple samwiches, apple soup, apple strudel, apple kabobs, apple suey….

    Ooops.

Yup, dumplings. And they only make them on the weekends. Friday is not a weekend! Tell me…was the outside a pie crust like thing or a bread like thing? I gotta try to make them at home. We had issues with finding apples low enough for littles to pick! They had 5 rows of trees roped off that were busting with apples…I was soooo tempted to sneak over and pick there but I resisted! Love Tompsons!

Hi Jenn! Too funny – we had to walk a ways to find some but they were there. All those full trees by the parking lot/street are for handicapped access. I didn’t have a dumpling myself but it looked pie-crusty for sure.
