new digs, new ‘hood

Last weekend, we finally had the opportunity to visit my parents at their new home in Salem. What a location!! They are right in the middle of everything – very fun! We had half a day to toodle around town and check out their new ‘hood.

There’s a very oooooold cemetary right behind the P.E.M. (like half a block away) that the kids loved. I’ve always liked really old cemetaries, so it was cool for me too.

This tree is flat-out absurd!!!! Check out O down the bottom for some perspective:

What brought these crazy-ass twists in these branches about??

We had some fun outside the New England Pirate Museum, but didn’t go in.

Then we headed down the waterfront to the Friendship, & what will henceforth be known as “Crab Beach”.

See you again soon, Salem!

I love Maine. I hate mosquitoes. I prefer the bottom half of a muffin to the top. Baseball yes. Boxing no. Oh, and I have 3 boys in middle school. This is my blog.

Maybe they were hanging witches from those curved branches?
