Trails & Tools

On our first day in Charlottesville, we helped Grandpa with his volunteer duties maintaining their subdivision’s network of trails. It’s some gorgeous territory with some very old stone walls and bridges that always make me think.  The boys were each given a pruning tool and set to work. They loved it.

Our best little worker was definitely T. So enthusiastic, in fact, that as we walked back up the street toward home after leaving the trails, I caught him dutifully hacking at someone’s streetside landscaping. Cutest thing ever.

We need to rest:

We saw some wacky trees during our walking tour.

Camo Tree:

About gumbygoogoo

I love Maine. I hate mosquitoes. I prefer the bottom half of a muffin to the top. Baseball yes. Boxing no. Oh, and I have 3 boys in middle school. This is my blog.
